Gain access to a proven content strategy that I actually used as a social media manager that can help you get started with writing blog posts!

I often get asked, “Paige, how do you always find something to post?”

As a retired marketing girlie, I can confidently say: it’s all about your personal brand. The truth is, if you know who you are, what you stand for, and what you’re interested in, the content ideas practically write themselves.

When I was working as a copywriter and social media manager in tech, I developed a simple—but powerful—strategy: themed posts.

The Power of Themed Content

Instead of posting randomly or waiting for inspiration, I organised my content into three recurring themes that I could reuse over and over again. This framework kept my posting consistent and meaningful.

These are the themes that you should follow:

1. Relatable / Personal

Your network wants to see the person behind the profile. Sharing personal stories, challenges, and inspirations makes your content relatable and memorable.

This theme humanises your personal brand and builds trust. People want to connect with you, not just your achievements.

2. Educational

Show what you know—or are learning! Sharing insights, resources, and lessons demonstrates your expertise and curiosity.

This theme positions you as a continuous learner and someone others can turn to for knowledge in your field.

3. Engagement / Conversational

Start conversations, ask questions, and invite your network to share their thoughts. Engagement posts are all about building relationships, not just broadcasting information.

This theme encourages interaction, which strengthens your network and increases your visibility on LinkedIn.

Why This Works

Your personal brand matters, even if you’re just starting your career. Following these three themes ensures you show who you are, highlights what you know or are learning, and you are actively engagin with your community!

By balancing your content across these areas, you present a well-rounded and authentic personal brand, without the stress of figuring out what to post next.

So when do I start posting?

You can start whenever! Pick one topic per theme each week, and keep posts short, authentic, and visually appealing if possible (a great opportunity to polish your graphic design skills!).

Utilising the in-built LinkedIn metrics, track which posts spark conversation, and refine your approach based on what resonates with your audience!

Once you adopt this strategy, you’ll find that content creation becomes less about pressure and more about sharing your story and insights with the people who matter.
