Explore my journey of growth, innovation, and education. As a dedicated cyber security student and professional, I aim to inspire others through kindness, knowledge sharing, and leading by example.

About Paige Haines
Combining my career in marketing and tech, I began my cyber security journey alongside some of the most brilliant, passionate individuals at Deakin University, and their light and influence has guided my own path towards leadership and paying it forward.
Leadership, to me, is empathy in action, collaboration, and the relentless drive to raise others as we rise. Each day, I strive to live by these truths, shaping a world where we lift one another higher.

Blog & Social Platforms
I founded a blog and LinkedIn with 3400+ followers and 270k+ impressions, sharing hands-on learning experiences and insights on OT cyber threats, industry events, and initiatives. I share cyber security threats and insights on Instagram and TikTok, providing easily accessible lessons for a wider audience. Through these platforms, I encourage students and professionals to explore and engage with cyber security in practical, meaningful ways.

Teaching & Mentorship
I created and delivered 12+ weekly HelpHub sessions for SIT111 students, designed structured video walk-throughs, and provided on-call mentoring for 600+ students. I also offer guidance to students on crafting résumés tailored to particular job roles. My strategy focuses on building student confidence and understanding, assisting them in navigating complex computer science concepts within their first year and providing actionable advice upon graduation.

Academic Achievements
I am a high-achieving Bachelor of Cyber Security student (WAM: 82.1), with a head-over-heels love for digital forensics, GRC, and threat hunting. I am constantly driven by curiosity, and a desire to make meaningful contributions to my community at Deakin University, and within the broader cyber space. Thus far, my favourite subject has been Digital Forensics and Investigations, wherein I obtained a rewarding 97 (HD) mark.

Community Engagement
I have been involved in multiple speaking initiatives including the ISACA x IEEE ICEI 2025 AI workshop panel, ethical hacking demonstrations, and 6+ in-person workshops with DUCA. I was also recently invited by Deakin University to take part in a video production where I discussed my experience undertaking the Bachelor of Cyber Security. These experiences allow me to mentor students and raise awareness of practical cyber security applications in real-world contexts at many different experience levels.
